Why Do We Work So Hard To Provide A Great Resource For Mothers Who Want To Learn About Natural Childbirth?

As a mother of a child with a life threatening condition, I experienced first hand what it was like to have someone tell you your child isn’t perfect.
I remember that day so clearly, the life changing phone call from the doctor with the unexpected results and he said … "The tests came back positive, your daughter has Cystic Fibrosis" … It sent chills down my spine. I was utterly shocked and literally floored … my legs gave way and I was at lunch with my friends crying on the ground.
It was like a bad dream that I couldn’t wake up from. I didn’t believe what this man was saying and to be honest it took a very long time to sink in. You see we had been for some tests after initial routine blood samples alerted doctors of a possible problem. I actually didn’t even know what Cystic Fibrosis was, so I had been on Google doing some research and coming up with horrible stories of babies and children suffering and dying horribly.
I just couldn’t understand how my perfectly healthy bouncing baby girl could have this terrifying condition! Yet over the next few years and way too many hospital visits to count, we were supported by friends, family and charity groups and learned to manage my little girl’s life in a new way.
Today she is fairly healthy, but it takes a lot to manage her condition. Still, I am so grateful she leads a relatively normal life and she is also such an amazing, patient and calm little girl. She hardly ever complains even with all the daily treatment she receives.
So, our main aim is to provide an amazing resource for you and other mothers who want to learn more about Natural Childbirth. But it is also my precious little girl Honey who inspires us and reminds us of a bigger purpose when things get tough.
